Wonderful any time of year, these spicy basil chicken lettuce wraps are served during Chinese New Year, because the way that the word for lettuce sounds is similar to the Cantonese word for Rising Fortune.

Spicy Basil Chicken Lettuce Wraps
1 lb lean ground chicken or 1.5 lbs boneless chicken breasts or thighs
1 tbsp thai style chili sauce
1 tbsp hoison sauce
1 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
1 tbsp water
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1/2 tbsp sugar
1 cup green onions, chopped
10 fresh basil leaves
1 tbsp sirachi sauce, optional
