Mario Batali is finally getting rid of his ponytail! The celebrity chef is auctioning off his locks for charity.
Along with Food & Wine and other chefs like Jose Andres, Cat Cora and Emeril Lagasse, Batali's auction is to help launch Chefs Make Change (CMC). Each chef involved with CMC is fundraising for a specific charity. Batali is hoping to raise money for his own foundation, the Mario Batali Foundation, a charity to help educate and feed children in need.
In part with the auction, Batali has agreed to chop off his long hair if the CMC can raise $500,000 by February 7.
