Trying new foods is what keeps cooking interesting. We love this recipe of Amazu Renkon, or Sweet Vinegar Lotus Root . It makes a lovely side dish, and having never tasted Lotus root, now we have to!

If you like trying new foods, why not check out your local Ethnic markets? Go the extra step, and ask the person working there for suggestions. These small grocers are usually much less expensive, and you will undoubtedly get better service than a box grocery store will provide. Check it out!
