David R. Chan, better known as his Chowhound handle Chandavkl, is an amateur restaurant reviewer who has eaten at over 6,090 Chinese restaurants in the Los Angeles area. Chan has been reviewing Chinese restaurants since 1951.
Hopefully, Chan will never be jailed for a bad review. Can you imagine being such a connoisseur of one cuisine?
