Fruity upside down cake with a fresh twist, will make your dinner menu complete. We just love the addition of rosemary to this figgy sweet treat.
Have you not made upside down cake before? Don't be afraid! You layer it, bake it, and then place a platter on top and flip it. All that oozy-goozy delicious stuff is now on top, and you are a fearless Chef!
Fig, Walnut, Rosemary Upside Down Cake
¼ C unsalted butter
½ C light brown sugar
10 fresh ripe figs, tips removed, halved
3 tsp. finely chopped fresh rosemary, divided in half
4 to 5 tbsp. walnut pieces
1 C flour, sifted (sifting creates a lighter cake)
1 tsp. baking powder

I've heard so much about fig cakes and I'm going to try your fig walnut recipe.
