Today, when I was walking into the grocery store, I actually followed the dairy farmer and his children, as they were delivering milk to the refrigerated section. Of course, I had to buy some!
It is so great to have fresh, local products available once again. We can even buy buttermilk. By this, I am referring to actual buttermilk, not the artificially thickened and flavored buttermilk product that you often see in the cooler. Strawberry Lemon Buttermilk Muffins
1 ½ cups strawberries + 2 tablespoons flour
2 ½ cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
zest of Meyer lemon
juice of Meyer lemon
½ cup canola oil
